Grace Baptist Church was officially chartered in 1956 (though they actually began meeting 3-4 years before) and has been building a 50-year legacy of witness for Christ in Goldsboro and Wayne County. Our goal is to continue the faithful and fruitful ministry of those whose vision and dedication to God's Word led them over this past half-century.

We stand and fight for the fundamental truths of historic Christianity, the Person and work of our Savior, and the inerrancy of the Bible. As a church which believes in these truths, we are committed to passing them on to the next generation, as they have been passed on to us.

Grace Baptist Church is an assembly driven and energized by God's Word. We are committed theologically and methodologically to the inerrancy, sufficiency and total authority of the Bible. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We do not look to anything or anyone else, i.e.,"words of knowledge," "revelations," or even church traditions, because we believe that the Bible contains God's Word in its totality. Thus the Bible, through the Holy Spirit of God, is the driving force, the defining force and the developing force in all that we hope to do. God's Word is central in our ministry.
